Psoriasis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Psoriasis is a chronic, non-contagious skin disease characterised by reddish-pink patches and scaling. The term psoriasis originates from the Greek word meaning \u201citching\u201d or \u201ctingling\u201d of the skin \u2014 symptoms that describe this condition most accurately. In psoriasis, the rate of skin cell division is up to thirty times faster than normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the cells do not fully mature, the connections between them break down, leading to the formation of characteristic scales. The body\u2019s immune system becomes involved in the process, directing its defences against its own cells and causing chronic inflammation in the affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those suffering from psoriasis with red, scaly plaques, laser treatment can be a true relief, as it significantly reduces skin inflammation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dermatitis<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dermatitis refers to skin inflammation that can result either from external environmental factors (contact dermatitis) or from an allergic reaction (allergic dermatitis). Contact dermatitis develops when the skin is directly exposed to an irritant, while allergic dermatitis occurs when foreign substances enter the body (for example, through food or medication) and trigger an immune response visible on the skin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, if a rash appears after using a cream containing a certain active ingredient, this is considered contact dermatitis. But if the same substance enters the body through digestion and causes a rash, it is allergic dermatitis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Laser treatments are carried out up to twice a week, with a total of 8\u201310 sessions. Each session lasts only a few minutes, and after completing the course, symptoms may disappear for up to eight months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This treatment is ideal for patients whose affected areas do not respond to other forms of therapy. It is most often used on the elbows and knees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before treatment, avoid sunbathing for five days, limit sauna and swimming pool visits for three days, and use a cream with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 35 both before and after the procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
