Capillary removal
Redness caused by dilated capillaries can be effectively treated with laser therapy. The procedure is carried out by our top specialists, ensuring it is comfortable, quick, and safe.
Capillary removal with laser
At Decus Clinic, capillary removal is performed with the powerful Harmony XL laser from Alma Lasers. The treatment works through light energy.
When light reaches the capillaries:
- the capillaries contract;
- collagen production is activated;
- blood vessel walls strengthen, making them less likely to rupture.
As a result, redness caused by dilated capillaries fades, and the likelihood of new capillaries appearing decreases.
Rosacea and couperose treatment
Both rosacea and couperose can cause facial redness, but they are two distinct conditions. Both tend to flare up in cold, windy, and humid climates. However, sunlight can also weaken blood vessels and irritate the skin.
It’s important to note that laser therapy can only relieve symptoms and help maintain skin condition – neither condition can be fully cured. The frequency of laser sessions depends on how your skin responds over time.
Couperose refers to dilated capillaries that appear as fine red or bluish lines visible through the skin, often forming a web-like pattern. It occurs more frequently in people with thin, dry, and sensitive skin, and fragile capillaries can also be hereditary.
Rosacea is a more serious chronic condition that makes the skin hypersensitive, causing stinging or burning sensations. In some cases, pustules may appear, which is why it’s sometimes mistaken for acne.

Procedure and results
During the procedure, the entire affected area is treated with laser. You may feel mild tingling, but the treatment is not painful.
After the procedure:
- treated areas become lighter and blood vessels change colour;
- smaller vessels may disappear immediately;
- mild redness (hyperemia) may appear but subsides quickly.
Visible improvement is often noticeable after the first session, with full results appearing after completing the course. Treatments are performed every 2–3 weeks, and the number of sessions depends on your skin condition. The results typically last 1–2 years.

The procedure is not painful, though you may feel mild tingling. The laser used at Decus has an advanced cooling system, ensuring the treatment is comfortable and well tolerated.
Improvements are visible after the first session, but 3–6 treatments are usually recommended. The exact number of sessions will be determined by a specialist.
Treatments are spaced 2–3 weeks apart.
Yes. They are common on the nose and cheeks. While women can often conceal redness with makeup, couperose can be more noticeable and bothersome for men.
We warmly welcome male clients for consultation and treatment.
While laser therapy helps relieve symptoms and control the condition, prevention also plays an important role.
Although we cannot change cold and windy climate, proper skin care helps protect against external factors. Use gentle, non-irritating products, avoid exfoliants and acid-based cosmetics, and apply soothing masks and sunscreen regularly.
If your skin is prone to redness, it’s best to avoid smoking, excessive alcohol, and spicy foods, which can all aggravate the condition.
