How it works?
Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment that destroys fat cells by freezing them.
When fat cells are cooled to around -11°C, they start to produce heat energy and enter a natural process called apoptosis – the breakdown and elimination of cells. The destroyed fat cells are then naturally removed from the body through the lymphatic system.
You will see the full results within 6–8 weeks after your session.
A simple process
At Decus Clinic, we use a high-quality German-made device designed specifically for safe and effective cryolipolysis.
With four different applicator sizes, up to four body areas can be treated at the same time (for example, the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, back, or arms).
- The applicator is placed on the area containing fat deposit.
- The device uses vacuum suction to draw the fat fold into the applicator and begins the cooling process.
Together with your specialist, you’ll decide which areas to treat and how many zones to target during one session.
You may feel an intense cold for the first few minutes, but this quickly subsides as the area becomes numb.

How to prepare for the procedure?
The procedure itself takes 60–75 minutes and is preceded by a consultation.
- Avoid eating for 2–3 hours before the procedure so that your last meal has time to digest.
- Do not have any skin treatments that may cause irritation (such as acid peels) immediately before your session.
Please note: If you have cellulite, it is recommended to complete at least three LPG massage sessions beforehand, as cryolipolysis does not eliminate cellulite. LPG massage helps to soften fat tissue, making it easier to break down.
How to boost your results
After the procedure, the treated area may feel slightly tender or appear red, but this will fade within a few hours. To enhance the results:
- Avoid eating heavy meals for about 1.5 hours.
- Feel free to go to the sauna or exercise – sweating and physical activity stimulate lymphatic circulation.
It is also advisable to have at least three LPG massage sessions after the procedure. These massages stimulate the lymphatic system, helping the body to remove the broken-down fat cells more effectively.
Remember: the healthier your diet is after the treatment, the less likely it is that the fat layer will return.

Frequently asked questions
The results can be long-lasting, but this cannot be guaranteed. Fat cells tend to regenerate when given the opportunity. Maintaining a slim figure therefore depends largely on your lifestyle. The fewer excess calories you consume, the less your body will store them as fat. If you maintain a healthy diet after your cryolipolysis treatment, the results are more likely to last.
Diet and exercise are not mandatory, as once the device has done its job, the body’s natural processes will continue regardless of your activity or diet.
That said, a balanced diet and regular physical activity will certainly help. They prevent new fat cells from forming and help your body stay toned for longer.
Many women visit Decus Beauty Clinic to look slimmer for their wedding day or another special occasion. Once you know the date, schedule your treatment around two months in advance — this allows enough time for your lymphatic system to flush out the broken-down fat cells.
Cryolipolysis is not primarily a weight-loss procedure, but it works very well for women with post-pregnancy fat deposits on the stomach or other areas. This type of fat can be difficult to get rid of, even with regular exercise, so fat freezing is an excellent solution.
Cryolipolysis is not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have severe skin damage, wounds or scars, a hernia, diabetes, asthma, or Raynaud’s disease. It is also not recommended for people with circulatory or blood-clotting disorders, pacemakers, or allergic reactions.
